New kits for the North Wales Dragons
Pen and Ink Studios are very pleased to reveal the new North Wales Dragons kit for the 22/24 seasons. The community football side that raises funds and awareness for multiple causes through out the year revealed in a blog post that the new kit would be absolutely nothing like any of their old kits.
Replacing what had become the traditional green and white of the Dragons has been replaced with a night sky fade of purple to black but teamed with somethings a little different and fans of a certain band may recognize it! Originally appearing on the cover of the Smoke and Mirrors album by multi award winning band Imagine Dragons, they were given special permission by the band and by the wonderful artist Tim Cantor who designed the Sparrow, to use on the kit. The Sparrow representing the Tyler Robinson foundation is then connected with four separate ribbons that show the colours of Hope House.
The Dragons went on to say "With this kit comes a continued and much stronger partnership with the Las Vegas based Tyler Robinson Foundation and our local charity Ty-Gobaith. The partnership between the two charities has grown ever stronger since 2019 when the Dragons helped in connecting the two. The Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF), is a non-profit organization of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons dedicated to supporting children battling childhood cancer while Hope House/ Ty Gobaith makes sure that no family faces the death of their child alone, supporting over 750 families who are either caring for a terminally ill child or whose child has passed away. We are very proud to carry both charities on our back."
Partnerships from the previous shirt agreed to continue for the upcoming seasons which saw Wales and West Housing take up the main partner spot. They manage more than 12,000 high quality, affordable homes in 15 local authority areas across Wales. These include more than 3,000 dedicated properties for older people as well as innovative supported housing solutions for people with a range of particular needs.
On the back of the shirt, Independence Solutions have their logo, they are North Wales leading company providing wet rooms and adaptations for the disabled and elderly, striving to keep people living independently in their homes. They have over 12 years’ experience in Wet-rooms and adaptations and are passionate about what they do.
M & S Water Services Limited are a long-standing business, established in 1988, they have enjoyed steady continuous growth over the years with their customer base expanding to cover the whole of the UK, they take up position on the right sleeve.
We are proud to carry on our partnership with Super Secret Society of Super Villain Artists and look forward to hopefully collaborating in the future. This one off logo was designed especially for the shirts
A partnership with the Resuscitation Council of the UK will see the Dragons continue to carry their guide in what to do in case of cardiac arrest on the left sleeve. Quite possibly one of the only football teams in the world to carry such valuable information.
Our very own simplified logo finishes off the kit with being not only the kit designers but also now kit providers
A special set of four were printed and sent out to Las Vegas in the last few weeks, carrying the names of each member of the band, these shirts have now been signed by the band and are now up for auction. You can place your bids on these items and more at this website ahead of Friday nights RISE UP 2021 Benefit Gala.
Unable to win the auction but still want a shirt? Don’t worry, these shirts will be on general sale in the near future with profit from the shirts sales being split between the two chosen charities.
